Watched F1 qualifying. The cars look positively weird with front ends adorned with strange looking appendages or shape of the nose looking as if someone had a seizure while drawing the car. Sound of engines is now low and positively dreadful with the sweet high-pitched scream of V8s at 18000rpm now a distant memory. Drivers now need to re-learn everything they know about F1 car control with badly uneven power delivery of lower-revving turbo engines as opposed to the ultra-high revving NA engines where the car could be controlled on a knife edge. Wet track and a spike of torque the moment turbo kicks in made for hairy moments for all involved and if that happens in a turn its even less pleasant. The competition promises to be interesting to say the least...
